Overview

A new hospital in Bali will have a grand opening on September 2024. The client wants to have a new website and mobile app to help provide their healthcare services for the locals and tourists in the area.

My Role

As the lead designer for this project, I direct and lead the team from design concepts to the final design. I collaborate closely with the project manager, developers, client-side marketing team, and stakeholders to achieve the expected design solutions.

Research methods

  1. Competitor analysis

    • Capture the visual design and nuances.

    • Information Architecture comparison for website and mobile app.

    • Main features comparison.

  2. Target audience

    • Demographic study based on: age, gender, location, income.

  3. Patient journey

    • Analyze overall journey.

    • Persona creation for patient journey.

    • Identify pain points and opportunities for customer delight.

Patient Journey

We created the patient journey to provide an overview of what usually happens when a patient visits the hospital, their pain points, and find the opportunities that can help the patient.

Information architecture as a scope

The Information architecture is already defined by the client on what they need for the website and mobile app.

Design concept

We decided use Glassmorphism style to combine world-class care and Balinese heart. Here is the prototype for both the website and mobile app.

Design Strategy

We used Aaron Walter's hierarchy of user needs to ensure human-centered design that prioritizes both functionality and emotional engagement.

Design Process

We used the Double Diamond design process to emphasize on exploring the problem space and then focusing on the solutions.

Achievements - Part 1

  • We won the project tender with the proposed materials above.

  • The design team efforts were recognized by the company's management.

  • Special thanks to Rahmanda & Ahmad Kautsar to develop the foundation of the winning design concept.

How it went

In this 5-month project, the design team is expected to finish the design deliverables in 7 weeks. Luckily there are 5 designers to help continue designing the website and mobile app.

I divided the team into two: Website team and Mobile App team. It's also challenging with extra effort on the website because it has to be responsive. Thankfully, the Mobile App team supported us to the finish line.
